Swarovski Crystal Palace at Euroluce 2009
Swarovski Crystal Palace launched ‘Cloudeliers’ by Nigel Coates and exhibit highlights from the Swarovski Crystal Palace collection at Euroluce, Milan, April 2009.
Nigel Coates adapted his installation of crystal forms that was originally shown at the 11th Venice Biennale for Architecture in 2008, to create ‘Cloudeliers’, a dramatic installation of Swarovski crystal lighting. Cloudeliers incorporate specially designed Swarovski crystal cut by Coates, and when grouped together the Cloudeliers form a sparkling layer of cloud-shaped crystal.
Now in its eighth year, Swarovski Crystal Palace has worked with some of the world’s foremost and collectable designers and will be showing the following pieces from the collection at Euroluce:
• Light Sock by Diller, Scofidio + Renfro
• Cavern Collection by Fredrikson Stallard
• Ice Branch and Blossom by Tord Boontje
• Sparkle Shady and Multi Leg Cabinet by Jaime Hayon
