Hariri & Hariri Architecture was established in New York City by Iranian born sisters Gisue Hariri and Mojgan Hariri in 1986. The integration of digital technology, inventive use of materials, a sense of place, and social agenda – qualities often considered mutually exclusive in architecture – catalytically coexist in Hariri & Hariri’s dynamic work. In 2005, the firm received the Academy Award in Architecture from the prestigious American Academy of Arts & Letters. In a prestigious milestone, they were announced as a winner of the American “Women in Design Awards 2006” celebrating talented individuals who have made a significant contribution to the field of Architecture & Design.
