Gaetano Pesce is one of today’s most celebrated architects whose designs continue to successfully subvert the distinctions between art and design. For Mediterraneo, Pesce applies an interdisciplinary approach to creating a charismatic and unpredictable solution to the traditional concept of chandelier.
One hundred and forty crystal strands, each consisting of 87 Swarovski crystals illuminated by LEDs, make up the body of the voluminous chandelier, whose nature is programmed to move gracefully to mesmerize its audience. The chains of LEDs behind the crystals change colour, taking the viewer through the spectrum and touching on every possible mood. The chandelier is at once charming and disarming, a veritable display of emotions and mastery.
