Zupan chose the shape of the sea urchin to create a simple, organic and sensual overall shape for her chandelier, inspired by a fairy tale about a red Chinese lantern lit underwater. Some call the mouth of the sea urchin ‘Aristotle’s Lantern’, and Zupan chose coloured Swarovski crystals for Arbacia Punctulata as they embody this idea of warmth, translucency and magic.
