For Lolita, Arad exploits the traditional omni-directional spiral that may traditionally be associated with the chandelier, and crosses it with technology and lighting in a sophisticated and entertaining way. Lolita is effectively a giant pixel board with 2100 Swarovski crystals, set with 1050 white LEDs, 1 km of 9-way cable braided shielding and 31 processors, enabling an interactive experience in which people can text their messages via SMS to Lolita and she displays their messages in lights, round and round her spiral form.
